Moving to LoadSnap is designed to be low effort, and you do not have to switch everything overnight. Here is what it looks like from wherever you are starting.
From paper
Capture a load with a photo and let the AI do the classification you used to do by hand. The same record can generate a Waste Transfer Note and feed a hazardous consignee return, so you are not filling in carbon copy pads anymore.
From spreadsheets
Stop the double entry. If you run a receiving site, the receipt you capture goes to DEFRA from the same record, rather than you keying it into a sheet and then again into the service. If you are a carrier, the record is held complete and ready for when DEFRA opens the carrier side. Either way the data lives in one place.
From another provider
Bring your producers, carriers and vehicles across, and your movements are filed the same way. Your DEFRA API code stays yours, so you are not locked in to anyone.
Dual running is normal for now
During the transition you keep your existing paperwork alongside Digital Waste Tracking for a period. LoadSnap generates both from one capture, so dual running does not mean double work.
No app store rollout
Your drivers install it from a link, straight onto the home screen, with its own icon and no app store account, and there are native iOS and Android builds as well. They photograph the load in it, and a one-off load with no job behind it can be logged from a link or emailed in to your own LoadSnap inbox. Getting a team onto it takes minutes, not a project.
