DEFRA Submissions is where your waste movements are filed to the national Digital Waste Tracking service. Used by carriers and receivers.
What it is
The record of what LoadSnap has submitted to DEFRA's Digital Waste Tracking service on your behalf, with the tracking references that come back.
Why it's there
From October 2026 receiving sites must report waste digitally, and carriers follow in the next phase. This is the heart of compliance, so you need to see clearly what has been filed and that it succeeded.
How it works
Once your DEFRA API code is connected, the receipts and movements you record are submitted to DEFRA, and the returned tracking ID is stored against the record. You can see the status of each submission here. Receivers file now; carriers will file in Phase 2, at which point much of the detail is already in the system from the carrier side.
