LoadSnap can verify your drivers' licences directly with the DVLA, so you can see entitlements, penalty points and any disqualifications without paper checks or photocopies. This supports your duty of care as an employer.
How it works
The check uses the DVLA Access to Driver Data (ADD) service. The driver enters their own licence number through the driver portal and gives explicit consent. This matters: an employer cannot look up a licence without the driver's permission, so the consent step is built into the flow.

What the check returns
Licence status, such as valid, expired or disqualified
Entitlement categories, for example car or HGV
Endorsements, including penalty points
CPC data for professional drivers
Tachograph card data
How the data is shown
In the admin view the licence number is masked, showing only the first few and last characters, with a Reveal option that is logged for audit. Results appear on the driver's profile and feed the compliance dashboard.

Re-checks and notifications
You can set checks to repeat on a schedule, for example monthly or quarterly, and LoadSnap notifies you when something changes, such as new penalty points or a disqualification, so you are not relying on the driver to tell you.
Cost and availability
Each successful check carries a small DVLA fee per lookup. Driver licence checking is part of LoadSnap's compliance tools on its paid plans. Check the current pricing page for the plan that includes it.
