Where it sits next to payroll and HR
LoadSnap is not a payroll system and not an HR system. It does not run a payroll, hold contracts of employment, or manage disciplinaries, appraisals or recruitment.
It does hold a fair amount that an HR or compliance manager cares about, because the jobs it tracks are the jobs people are legally required to do:
Who was rostered on which vehicle on which day, and who was away. Leave and absence are recorded as Holiday, Sick, Training or Unpaid.
Whether the daily walkaround check was actually done before the wagon went out, with photos of any defect. That is the record a traffic commissioner asks for.
Whether the driver signed the transfer note on every load, which is a legal requirement on them and on you.
Driver licence status, through the DVLA checks, on the accounts in that beta.
So the honest position is that it is not where you run your people, but it is where you can see whether the compliance tasks in a driver's or operative's job are being done. Firms tend to find that the part they could not get from a payroll system, and the part that keeps them compliant.
What LoadSnap does not do
Track your fleet live on a map. LoadSnap stamps where a collection happened and shows where a driver last checked in, but it is not a continuous vehicle feed. If a live map of the fleet is what you are buying, buy telematics.
Control weighbridge hardware, scales, barriers or traffic lights. It works alongside any weighbridge and you enter the weight.
Manage subcontractors. Third-party carriers can be recorded and their registrations verified, but there is no subcontractor allocation, rate agreement or self-billing.
Keep your books. Sales invoicing is here: invoices and credit notes raised from the work, purchase order numbers carried through, part payments, VAT and nominal codes, and overdue chasing. What is not here is the nominal ledger itself, the purchase ledger, bank reconciliation, VAT returns and year end. Those stay with Sage, Xero or QuickBooks, and LoadSnap exports to all three.
Let another system write into LoadSnap. The REST API reads your movements, jobs, customers, vehicles and documents, on the Business plan and above. It does not yet write, and there are no SDKs.
The honest fit
If you want Digital Waste Tracking compliance and the everyday workflow in one modern, affordable platform, LoadSnap is a strong fit. If your core need is industrial weighbridge automation, live vehicle tracking or a full finance ERP, LoadSnap complements those rather than replacing them.
