What it is
The records of your vehicles, with their type, capability and compliance. LoadSnap pulls official DVLA and DVSA data for each one, so the details stay current without you typing them in.
Why it's there
In the waste industry the vehicle is the limiting factor. A ro-ro, a skip wagon and a loose tipper each carry different things, so work is assigned to vehicles, not directly to drivers. Keeping good vehicle records is what makes that assignment, and your fleet compliance, work.
Adding a vehicle
Add a vehicle by its registration. LoadSnap looks it up with the DVLA and fills in the make, model, colour, fuel type, engine, weight, CO2 and Euro status for you, and you can add a photo.
MOT, tax and checks
LoadSnap pulls the full MOT history from the DVSA, including each test's result, advisories, failures, mileage and testing station, and tracks tax status with an expiry countdown. A mileage trend is drawn from the readings across tests, which helps spot unusual jumps. You can also record daily or walkaround checks against a vehicle, pass or fail, with photos of any issues. Failures show on the compliance dashboard.

Each vehicle has a three-part view: Details, Compliance, and a Timeline of everything that has happened to it, from checks and fuel to jobs and breakdowns.
Assignment
Because work is assigned vehicle first, your vehicles are what jobs are scheduled against. Drivers are assigned to vehicles, and the vehicle's capabilities decide what work it can take.
