Containers are the expensive part of a skip business and the part nobody can find. Stock & Assets tells you what you own, what is standing free in the yard and what is out on a job.
Put a container on a job and it is held for those dates, so the next booking knows it is spoken for. Everything else is set on the asset itself: ready, needs wash, in repair, on hire, in transit.
How to do it
In the sidebar, click Stock & Assets.
The cards along the top read Yards, On site now (the tonnage standing on your yards), In yard (free) and Out (job + customer).
Three tabs sit under them: Yards, By type and All assets.
On All assets, search by asset ID, type, size or notes to find one container, and use Filter by state and Filter by yard to narrow the list.
Click Add asset to put a new one on. Give it a type and a size, then type an asset ID or click Generate next and LoadSnap carries on your numbering.
Set its state and its yard, and put anything worth knowing in the notes: damage, hire history, special markings, the fact it needs a new door.
If you have a lot to add
Click Import CSV.
Upload your list and match your columns to ours. This is the quick way in if your containers are currently on a spreadsheet.
Worth knowing
A container out on a job shows it in the Linked job column, with the customer and the date, so "where is skip 214" takes one search rather than three phone calls.
The yard filter has a Not at a yard option. Those are the ones that quietly go missing, and they are worth clearing out.
Getting rid of an asset writes it off rather than deleting it, so the jobs it has already been on still make sense. Written off is one of the states you can filter on, and you can write off several at once from the list.
Your yards live on this page too. Add yard sits next to Import CSV, and the Yards tab shows what is standing on each one.
A container with no yard against it cannot be counted in any yard's stock. Give every asset a home.
