A LoadSnap collection is a photo, a signature and a tap. The AI does the waste classification so you do not have to know EWC codes off by heart.
Step by step
Open LoadSnap and tap Submit, then Submit a Collection.
Pick the producer, the site the waste came from. If a producer only has one site, it is chosen for you.
Take a photo of the load, or add one you already have.
The AI reads the photo and suggests the waste type, the EWC code, the container and whether it is hazardous. Check it, and change anything that is not right.
Add the container and quantity, then continue.
Sign. There are two boxes: the customer's, which is optional because there is not always somebody on site, and your own, which is required. You sign as the carrier taking the load away.
Tap Submit collection.
If the AI cannot read a photo: take a clearer one of the actual waste, a skip, bin, bag or pile, in good light, or fill the fields in yourself. You can always change the suggested codes before submitting.
What happens next
The collection becomes a digital record with the photo, the codes, where it was picked up, the signature and a timestamp. The waste transfer note is produced from it, with no paper and no re-keying.
A collection is not filed to DEFRA. Under Digital Waste Tracking it is the receiving site that files the load when it arrives, off their receipt. Your record is what proves your side of it and what the receiving site's record is matched against.
