The Driver Map shows where each of your drivers last was, and what they have on today. It is the screen for the person answering the phone: a customer rings asking about their skip, and the answer is on the map rather than at the end of three calls to drivers.
It is not live tracking. LoadSnap does not follow your drivers around and there is no continuous feed off the wagon. A driver's pin is wherever they were the last time they did something in the app: checked in on a vehicle, submitted a collection, or logged fuel, an expense or a breakdown. If a live map of the fleet is what you are after, that is telematics, and it is a different product.
How to do it
In the sidebar, under People & Places, click Driver Map.
The line under the title tells you how many of your drivers have a recent location. Anybody without one has no pin.
Search for a driver by name to find one wagon quickly.
Turn on Checked in to show only the drivers who have checked in today. Today's jobs beside it counts the jobs on for the day.
Click a driver's pin. A panel opens on the right with their vehicle, their phone number and email, when they were last seen, whether they have checked in, today's jobs and their recent loads.
From that panel, View Profile opens the driver's record and Assign Job starts a new job for them.
Worth knowing
A green pin is a driver who has checked in today. A grey pin is a driver whose last position is older than that.
A driver showing Not checked in today has not checked in on a vehicle. Their pin, if they have one, is from whenever they last sent something in.
If somebody has no location at all, they have not sent anything in from the app yet.
The position is stamped when the driver does something, not on a timer. A driver parked up for two hours has a two-hour-old pin, and that is the map working as intended rather than a fault.
The phone number in the panel is a dial link, so one click rings the driver from a phone or from a laptop set up for calls.
