LoadSnap sets itself up around what your business actually does. When you first sign up it asks a couple of questions, then gives you a short checklist to your first record. Here is what to expect.
Step 1: Tell us what your business does
After you verify your email and log in, LoadSnap asks what best describes your business. Your answer decides which screens and tools you see, so a receiver is not shown carrier only features and the other way round.
We receive waste: transfer stations, recycling centres, MRFs, landfill, treatment sites
We carry waste: skip hire, haulage, muck away, tipper operators, builders
We do both: you collect waste and operate receiving sites

Step 2: Tell us about your business
The details depend on the type you picked.
Carriers: your business name and your waste carrier registration number, for example CBDU123456. LoadSnap checks it against the Environment Agency public register as you enter it and shows your tier and expiry, such as Verified, Upper tier, expires March 2027.
Receivers: your site name, permit or licence number, site address and site type (transfer station, recycling centre, MRF, landfill or treatment facility).

Step 3: Your getting started checklist
LoadSnap then shows a short checklist on your dashboard, tailored to your type. Each item links straight to the right screen and ticks itself off as you complete it.
Carriers: add your drivers, submit your first load, review and approve the record
Receivers: connect your DEFRA API code, invite your weighbridge operatives, log your first receipt and get your tracking ID
Both: a combined version of the two lists
